I told my students about the gist of this article in the Washington Post by Rick Weiss. They collectively said, "duh!"
"These are the kinds of gestures that offer a window on the murky link between body and mind,"I wonder if the TPR people's notion of Trace Theory is similar? There seems to be a connection, between James Asher of TPR fame and what it stated in the article, they both share that it is immensely beneficial to learning to add gestures to your speech.
I agree.
