Twitter Tool No.2 "Frequency Search"

This is another use in a series if unintended educational uses of the rapidly growing micro-blogging tool known as Twitter. Imagine one of the plights of an English language learner: they come up with a word in conversation or in a textbook that is not familiar to them. They wonder if it is worth it to take the time to copy it down to study it. If it is a higher frequency word then yes it is worth it. If it is not then it would be happily forgotten as there are plenty more words out there that need attention.

Here how it is done:

Type in your word or short phrase in the Twitter search field and look at the results.

What you are getting is a near real-time results of people using the word or phrase. It is amazing how it works.

If you don't get many results then perhaps it is a word or term that is in high frequency.
